Death does seem a bit unfair at times. Like why are young people dying of disease while murderers and other evil people live out their lives in or out of jail? Death should target the old and the evil not the young and kind!

I'm as disgusted as you are on the way the public schools drain my bank account. After the school supplies comes the begging /fund raising. Yearbooks sold for twice their value, school spirit t-shirts that the kids are encouraged to always wear on Friday, Fundraiser selling cookie dough, carnival and all the tickets needed to play, holiday party for the classroom can you send 5.00, teacher appreciation week another 5.00 please , student council is having a fund raiser to send money to someone needy, art class is selling my kids art on coffee cups. At least once a month they want something more from me than the supplies and lunch money. Multiply that by three kids and it takes a part time job just to keep up with it all! I can not believe they asked you to send in the UPC codes so they could get the rebates! Have they not heard of the Boxtops for Education program run by General Mills? Collect those boxtops off the products (there are hundreds of products with them) and send them to General Mills who then sends you a dime for every single one of them. I can't send that boxtop to General Mills and get anything for it but the school can. I think I'd keep my UPC rebates and tell the school about this totally legal program with boxtops!

If I had even an ounce of faith that others around me understood, care or would do anything about it then maybe I would speak out. I pick my battles , preferably ones that are played on even playing grounds and ones that have at least a hope of accomplishing something... No, this is just going to be a rant here on this wonderful site that allows me to sit at home and rant about the little things!

It is what it is and the stereotypes are not going to change so change must come from how we deal with it.! At times, some men can not help but think with their little head. Women have no such debate between brains going on, think with their bigger head. So if we women don't jump into bed with every guy who tells us how beautiful we are and they'd go to the end of the earth for us and we save that itch scratching for times we are in committed relationships then we don't get the slut label. It's all a matter of restrain for both genders. If the guys don't go around asking for sex from any women they've had a 5 second conversation or 5 lines of texting with then they won't get the label horndog . I know of men considered sleezy and at least us women aren't thinking it is some sign of his masculinity , can't speak for his friends though!

The area I live in has a home owner's association and we were getting newsletters mailed every quarter for a few years. A couple of years ago the guy who did the newsletter for us moved and we haven't had one since. I was surprised to find one in my mail a couple of weeks ago. My mind had all sorts of happy thoughts like 'cool we're going to be getting a newsletter again' 'gosh I wonder what wonderful things I will read about today'. So I open it up and sure enough there is information about the schedule for the pool this summer and other upcoming events planned by the recreation committee. The rest of the 4 page newsletter is quarter page ads asking me to vote for a certain residents running for a place on our community's board of directors. We have an election meeting coming up! Now, I know of at least one person who is running for a position and his name was not mentioned anywhere in this so called newsletter. The only people who had ad's were those already on our board of directors. Call me slow, yes there was a moment there I thought this was a real newsletter, but this was political advertising clear and simple. It was biased and paid for out of funds generated by my home owner association dues and mailed to all 900 residences with postage we paid for. I want to go to the meeting and scream about this but that would accomplish little more than making me seem like a petty troublemaker. So I'm ranting here....I'm so glad I found this site! Oh, also I don't think I'll be getting anymore newsletters

Yeah school bites then you graduate and think you're free of all that crappy stereotyping , gossip, name calling and other dumb a$$ stuff and then you get a job and find out the same crap happens there! Home schooling will save you ! And working from home later is the only answer!

In South Texas we seldom get snow but when we do the highways become full of idiots. As soon as the snow sticks those who live here from up North say to themselves, "this little snow is nothing" and out the door they go. Never mind that they have forgotten they no longer have snow tires or chains on their car and our roads are not salted over. These drivers are joined by the brave drivers who've lived here forever and don't know what to do once their car starts to skid on the road. Normal Texas driving styles are still observed, no yielding, pedal to the medal, and cutting off anyone who dares to get in your way of a lane change. And,so.... the pile ups begin. If there is ice on the road --- same exact story! I just wish they would all stay home on cold weather hazard road days and let me have my peace!

Hi all , found you through your banner at ibpdownloads . If your site lives up to it's title , it's a site for the masses! I'll browse a bit , not act shy then draw the ire of those who prefer I remain shy ....sounds fun! I can't figure out how to post in the shoutbox, I'm sure it's such a simple thing I felt it bite me!

Glad you are test driving that new arcade , it's about time someone did something ...won't be long and it'll be as seemless as the ones for older IPB versions
