Wolfie
Article title: Verbose window messagesArticle description: startup/logon/logoff/shutdownCategory: Windows XPDate added: Oct 20 2007, 15:12Article starter: Wolfie Source: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316243 Default XP settings gives you generic information, which is fine for most people. Sometimes more detailed information may be needed. In the Windows registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System DWORD: verbosestatusset to 1 to enable verbose messages DWORD: DisableStatusMessagesIf set to 1, then verbosestatus has no affect. With the verbose turned on, you will see messages such as "Playing logon sound" when you sign into Windows XP.
